Don Quijote Children’s Book
This project is a representation of Cervantes’ masterpiece El ingenioso don Quijote de la Mancha. The AP Spanish Literature students created a children’s book in which they summarized and analyzed the main ideas exposed in the novel. The students then had to creatively advertise their book to make it appealing for reading and purchasing.
Battle of the Sexes ’12
For the 2012 Battle of the Sexes event, the girls came out on fire! They dominated the guys in almost all the activities and took the win in the end. Although guys are known to be much stronger, the ladies had all the smarts and swiftness. Better luck next year, guys!

Spanish Newscast ’11-’12
The Spanish for Spanish Speakers 3 students had to write a brief newscast. They were instructed to write an original event using the present tense. Students had 30 minutes to write the story, and present. The purpose of the activity was to focus on present tense narration, and presentation skills.

Iconos del Mundo Hispano
My AP Spanish Language students researched the background of some famous/legendary/important Hispanics. They worked as a group to put together a PowerPoint (served as background information) and they had the option to do their own interpretation of some part of the person’s life or write a scene where they interviewed that person.

Western High Schools very own ASB put on a fabulous fashion show for all the students at lunch. The fashion show was to encourage the students to dress up for the next weeks sprirt week, which included different outfits such as: men in black, wizards and greasers. Check it out!
