Western High School’s new Digital Animation and Video Production programs are uniquely positioned to thrust our students into the wildly popular, and incredibly competitive, field of digital media and entertainment.  We’ve equipped our students with a state-of-the-art Apple computer lab running the latest high-end software solutions.  Our students are learning the essential tools used in major production facilities around the world like Pixar, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Paramount, Fox Interactive and so many more!

Our Video Production program focuses on studying audio and video production, screenwriting and image manipulation through industry-standard technologies.  Students develop the appropriate techniques to communicate information, entertainment and ideas through motion and sound.  We focus on the importance of storytelling in mass media, whether it’s a character-driven plot, commercial or electronic newsgathering: storytelling is at the heart of what we do.

Our Video Production students can look forward to rewarding careers in film production, sound engineering, broadcasting and special effects.
